Today (16 Dec 2024), Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), presided over the kick-off of the money transfer under the project to support management costs and develop the quality of rice farmers' products for the 2024/25 production year at a rate of 1,000 baht per rai, not exceeding 10 rai per household. The plan is to transfer money to farmers in each region in 5 rounds, starting today (16 Dec) as the first day and continuing until 20 Dec 2024, with a target of 4.61 million farmer households benefiting, with a total budget of 37,414 million baht.
